Cons:
The bridge pins are of a really bad quality.
There were a lot of glue dust in the guitar when I bought it which meant that a lot of white dust fell out of it.
The action setting from the factory is a bit too tight for my taste since it makes the guitar rattle a little bit.
Even though it's a solid top, the solid top is quite thin.
Pros:
The guitar sounds pretty genuine, maybe a bit thin, but full enough for my taste - thanks to the solid mahogany top (I wonder if the spruce version sounds too thin).
It's really easy to play - especially for beginners. Some advanced players might find the neck a bit thin. (I'm advanced).
It's very beautiful and I think it's worth the money.
Simple guitar without a pickup system, bought to be played only at home.
Since the top is solid mahogany the instrument has a full sound, without losing the typical steel stringed guitar brillance.
The neck is confortable to play and the factory settings are just fine.
In my opinion a great purchase.
I never thought I would own a genuine Fender as always plumped for the squire version in the end. This guitar changes all that. It has the price of a squire but plays like a Fender. The sound quality is superb but the main difference between this and other guitars of this price is that it is playable without leaving you in pain as you build up callouses. I have always struggled to play barre chords on an acoustic but on this guitar they are a breeze. No longer do you need extreme amounts of pressure for the notes to sound clear as the action on this guitar is really low. It is looks the business
I'm using this mostly at home for family, but it has made a few appearances on studio recordings as well. The mahogany body gives it a sweet and warm sound for slow chords or arpeggiated licks and the big size gives a loud but controlled volume.
It's by no means neither bright, nor dull - it's somewhere in between and depending on the strings you can alter the sound more towards your liking.
The fingerboard is very playable for an acoustic, although without a cutaway it gets a touch too tough if you want to play some very high notes.
There is absolutely 0 electronics on board, no tuner no pickup so it's a pure acoustic instrument. But that's why you're buying this one for. Affordable full mahogany goodness!
