Amazing pair of monitors. I produce in a small room with ZERO acoustic treatment. This one has been with me for almost a year and I haven't gone yet above 1/5 on volume knob. I'm afraid if I do that neighbours will be knocking my door lol. It is super powerful. It would be just enough for any studio. For 5 inch it has great lows. Very clean and punchy, you feel it. Mids and highs are balanced and not harsh at all. Stereo image is nice. And it is very flat, no frequency band is overpowering. I had concerns about low end before buying but now I can easily recommend everyone out there to buy it. Very strong and clean low end. Even in a non-treated room, it does an amazing job in mixing and mastering. One thing I must add : I know people looking for this one are also reading reviews about Yamaha HS5 and HS7's on the other hand. Just get that idea out of your head. In my music school, we had nine studios and the only one I never liked was the one with HS7's. They literally had no low end, zero. Everything sounded "empty" on them. Alpha 50 Evo is waaaaaaay better. More money but it is definitely worth. There is a cozy feeling about the sound. It is a big pleasure listening to music on these bold monitors. It sounds great right off the box but you might still need some time to get the max out of it. I can only complain about the hissing from the monitors even with TRS cables but it is not that much to distract me

My Alpha 50s are only 2 months old. So far, Im loving them. The sound covers top mid & bottom evenly, even in my 'mini' studio. I have 2 small complaints though! The Alpha takes approx 2to4 seconds before the red Led changes to green which is longer than any other speakers I have owned. I like the overall design but the red/green Led could have been a bit more creative. Instead of a green Led it could have been a blue Led. & the Led could have been placed in the O of FOCAL! just an idea.

I'm a huge fan of Focal but I would love to get older version of Focal alpha. In terms of sound quality, it's very very good. Go for these and you're gonna love it.
These studio monitors give an incredibly flat response across the spectrum. The lowhigh frequency shelf knobs also allow you to tune the monitors for your specific room.
