May be too high

It is all good except it is quite high. If you want to reuse the old whole in the headstock it may not provide enough down pressure. Solution would be to move it closer to the nut (a new hole would be needed) and grind the base down.

On an Ultra II Stratocaster it was JUST enough as is

perfect for tremolo equipped guitars - cheap and functional

I play strats so i need to reduce any friction and improve tuning stability with tremolo use.

Although the wheels rotate, there isn?t any bearing system so a lubricant is needed to improve performance. Not on the strings but between the shaft of the wheels and the base. I use nut sauce or hair pomade (!) for the extra mojo. I think that it?s a bit taller than a traditional string tree, making the angle at nut smoother. This helps if you use the tremolo a lot.

It looks a little bulky and the finish is not perfect, but for me it?s fine.

A fine useful product. Highly recommended.

Nice string tree, but screws...

The screws that come with this string tree are made of soft-ish metal, it's hard to screw them down properly. I bought a pair of these, and while one of them sits perfectly, the other one I could not screw down - the screw head was just destroyed in process.
The string tree itself works perfectly, especially after lubing.
