I have played guitar since childhood, decided to buy myself this guitar as i aproach seventy- years of age. The guitar was difficult to tune, lots of string buzz and dead spots. Lots of other problems, it looks and feels cheap-made. When i contacted THOMANN, they offered the full refund. But i decided to keep it anyway, and get a proper set-up.(new strings, nut and fret work, also the truss-rod was over tight.) The pickups sound lovely. the switches a bit scratchy, Grovers ok. The case(canada - made?) will not close properly due to faulty catches, and looks like something also made in china. Not the quality expected from Gretsch or Thomann. Problems aside, i kept it, and i like it,play it everyday.OK.

It arrived in perfect condition, low action, perfect intonation all over the neck, it sounds truly incredible, I have many Gretsch guitars but this one is the best by far, I have an older model like this one but this one is better, sounds better and it has more attention to detail, the walnut side dots over the neck was a really nice touch, thanks Thomann !!!

Endlich klingt es so wie bei "She loves you" oder der ganzen "With the Beatles"-Scheibe (insbesondere auch der Introakkord von "All I?ve got to do") - ich liebe das Teil schon nach dem ersten 15-Minuten-Test. Die beiden TV Jones-Pickups machen genau den richtigen Sound. Diese Gitarre ist nicht gerade billig, aber dafür klanglich und optisch der OBERHAMMER! In Echt ist sie noch viel schöner als auf den Fotos. Die Mechanik der beiden Dämpfer hinter dem Stegpickup funktioniert einwandfrei und obwohl George sie nie nachweislich benutzt hat, müssen sie sein für mich als bekloppten Beatles-Fan. Gerade diese beiden Hebel machen den Unterschied zu den ganzen anderen Chet Atkins Country Gents. Und sie kommt super eingestellt von Thomann daher. Die Gitarre werde ich auch in modernen Produktionen einsetzen, weil sie etwas individueller klingt. Ich bin rundum begeistert. Fazit: sehr empfehlenswert.

W końcu brzmi to jak „She love you” albo cała płyta „With the Beatles” (szczególnie akord wprowadzający do „All I?ve got do”) – uwielbiam tę piosenkę już po pierwszych 15 minutach.Test. Dwa przetworniki TV Jones zapewniają odpowiedni dźwięk. Ta gitara nie jest do końca tania, ale to OBERHAMMER pod względem brzmienia i wyglądu! Na żywo jest jeszcze piękniejsza niż na zdjęciach. Mechanika dwóch amortyzatorów za przetwornikiem mostka działa doskonale i choć George nigdy nie udowodnił, że ich używał, są one dla mnie, szalonego fana Beatlesów, koniecznością. To właśnie te dwie dźwignie robią różnicę w stosunku do wszystkich innych Chet Atkins Country Gents. I ma świetne ustawienia od Thomanna. Gitarę wykorzystam także we współczesnych produkcjach, bo brzmi trochę bardziej indywidualnie. Jestem całkowicie zachwycony. Wniosek: gorąco polecam.
Les micros manquent de chaleur, ce ne sont pas des micros USA et les octaves ne sont pas réglèes si bien que la guitare sonne faux vers ke milieux du manche.
Il faut investir pour changer les micros et faire un réglage des cordes.
Przetwornikom brakuje ciepła, nie są to przetworniki amerykańskie, a oktawy nie są ustawione w taki sposób, że gitara brzmi przestrojona w kierunku środka gryfu. Trzeba zainwestować w zmianę przetworników i wyregulowanie strun.
