Great arrangements and easy to use

This is one of the best songbooks I own.

Warning that this is from the perspective of a Clapton fan.

The book contains an excellent variety of songs, from the early days to the solo stuff. Sunshine of your love to My Father's Eyes. So whichever Clapton you love, you will find something to your tastes.

As a relatively inexperienced player, I don't trust my opinion on the accuracy of the transcriptions. But I can speak to the ease of reading them. And in this respect the tabs provide everything you need in order to play the songs with the correct feel and syncopation for multiple guitar parts. This is objectively one of the better songbooks I own in terms of the information provided. Lyrics, sheet music and tablature is included.

The physical quality of the book is great. Beautiful gloss softcover with high quality paper. The spine can be a touch stiff if held open by a music stand.

Clapton Tab book review

I found this to be an excellent addition to my guitar tab book collection and is an absolute must for any aspiring guitar player and/or Eric Clapton fan. It is well worth splashing out on as it is far more reliable than most tabs on the internet. What I also found to be of interest was the detailed description of tuning used for various Robert Johnson covers and this really helped when learning some of the songs. As with all of the other Hal Leonard books I have purchased the legend and other playing instructions were laid out in a very user friendly and accessible manner.

Klasse, mit einer kleinen Einschränkung

Hal Leonard Qualität, gute Songauswahl - keine Frage. Was das ganze noch toppen würde, wären Audiofiles, aber man findet im Netz ja auch andere Möglichkeiten, sich die Stücke vorspielen zu lassen. Auf jeden Fall ist das Buch sein Geld wert.

Die in dem "Complete Clapton" enthaltenen Stücke umfassen wirklich einen großen Querschnitt der Musik, die Eric Clapton in seiner langen Karriere von den 60er Jahren an gespielt hat. Ich habe in meiner Sammlung auch noch eine Doppel-CD gefunden, die die identischen Stücke enthält - schön, um mal in die Originale reinzuhören.

Die Darstellung ist gut lesbar, die Details sind präzise herausgearbeitet. Das Buch würde Stoff für viele Winterabende bieten, wenn man es denn komplett durchprobieren würde. Es enthält natürlich wie praktisch alle Notensammlungen Stücke, die man auch in anderen Publikationen findet. Aber damit muss man leben.

Der Preis ist dem Umfang angemessen, für Eric Clapton Fans und Cover-Band-Musiker, die die Schlüsselelemente eines Songs präziser spielen wollen sehr empfehlenswert.
