This guitar is much much more than just a travel guitar. Its a guitar for everything. Once its plugged it has the best sound out there thanks to the amazing Maton pickup.
Handmade, all solid wood, Maton did an amazing job with their mini guitars. Im traveling for gigs all the time and I had to replace my dreadnaught acoustic for this mini Maton . Of course the acoustic sound is not as a full body guitar, but if you care more for the pickup sound than this is not a problem. just check some of the videos on youtube to understand how good it sounds. this guitar is for professionals as well. if you're moving all the time, and performing a lot , that's the guitar for you. Acoustically its very surprising as well. great sound for such a small guitar. Feels great in the hands and very smooth to play on.

If you looking for a travel size guitar and don't want to sacrifice sound and tone, the mini maton emd is the way to go. Just save up that money and buy this. Not forgetting that monsterous pickup, it is really amazing.
I had mine refitted with a fmi saddle and bones pin, i've never look back. Go and try one thats is plugged, that tone...

Ich habe die Gitarre (6-Saiter) das erste Mal beim Keith Urban auf der Live-DVD gesehen und gehört und ich war hin und weg. Danach habe ich mich im Internet erkundigt, wer eigentlich "Diesel" ist und da habe ich ihn die 12-Saitige spielen gesehen. Das grösste Problem war, dass die Gitarren bei uns sehr schwer zu finden sind, um sie auszuprobieren. Ich habe sie dann einfach bestellt und - sie hält, was sie verspricht!
Es ist keine "Kindergitarre", obwohl sie sehr klein ist. Das Holz (besonder der Hals!) und die Verarbeitung sind sehr gut, das Spielgefühl ist super! Man kommt überall leicht hin - hervorragend auch für die Leute (meine Frau z.B.), die mit grossen Gitarren a la Martin & Co. nicht zurecht kommen. Auch solieren geht super leicht für eine Akustik Gitarre. Mark "Diesel" Lizotte benutzt sie live sogar als "Ersatz" für E-Gitarre bei Distortion-Solos (siehe YouTube)!
Der Höhepunkt kommt allerdings, wenn man sie an PA anschliesst! Der Maton AP5 Tonabnehmer ist wirklich spitze! Neben Volume, Bass und Treble kann man noch die Mid-Range zw. 1 - 2 kHz "sweepen". Durch den kleinen Body ist die Gitarre nicht so bassig, also ist das Feedback nicht so ein grosses Problem. Ich könnte noch lange über die Mini hier schreiben, aber ich gehe sie lieber gleich spielen... ;o)

Po raz pierwszy zobaczyłem i usłyszałem gitarę (6-strunową) z Keithem Urbanem na DVD koncertowym i byłem pod wrażeniem. Potem zapytałem w Internecie, kim właściwie jest „Diesel” i wtedy zobaczyłem go grającego na 12-strunowym instrumencie. Największym problemem było to, że bardzo trudno było nam znaleźć gitary do wypróbowania. Następnie po prostu go zamówiłem i - robi to, co obiecuje! Nie jest to „gitara dla dzieci”, choć jest bardzo mała. Drewno (zwłaszcza gryf!) i wykonanie są bardzo dobre, wrażenia z gry są świetne! Łatwo jest dotrzeć wszędzie - doskonałe nawet dla osób (na przykład mojej żony), które nie radzą sobie z dużymi gitarami, takimi jak Martin & Co. Solówka jest również bardzo łatwa w przypadku gitary akustycznej. Mark „Diesel” Lizotte używa go nawet na żywo jako „zamiennika” gitary elektrycznej podczas solówek z przesterowaniem (zobacz YouTube)! Ale najważniejsza atrakcja pojawia się po podłączeniu go do PA! Przetwornik Maton AP5 jest naprawdę świetny! Oprócz głośności, basów i sopranów można także „przemiatać” średni zakres w zakresie 1–2 kHz. Ze względu na mały korpus gitara nie jest tak basowa, więc sprzężenie zwrotne nie stanowi aż tak dużego problemu. O mini mogłabym tu długo pisać, ale wolę już teraz w to zagrać... ;o)
