Great beautiful sound, excellent tuning. I have an old German Adler tenor made from pearwood, which was difficult to play in tune, and the overall pitch was always a bit too high. The Rottenburgh tenor from the rosewood has a deeper beautiful timber. The tuning is just great. The weight of the instrument is lighter and puts less strain on my thumb, which is great. The only thing to consider - the lower C is more tricky and took time to adjust the finger position. Those who have shorter finger reach should think about an option with a key. I'm currently playing in the instrument, thus did not fully explore the upper range, but the high notes respond easily. At lower range, even the cross-fingered notes like G# sound strong and bright, which surprised me, when compared with the Adler flute. Overall, I'm very much satisfied.

I am very happy with my Moeck Rottenburgh tenor recorder. The palisander wood give a beautiful and elegant look to the instrument. The sounds stunning. A bit difficult to make a high notes beautiful and perfect but after some weeks of practice i figured it out how it can be nice and easy. The quality is amazing. I love my recorder.

This is by far the most I've invested in a recorder but it was worth every penny.
I decided to go with keyless as even though I don't have large hands, as I've played the piano for 30+ years, I'd say my span was pretty good. You'd be surprised but you do feel the pull across your knuckles as your hands adjust to playing, but this soon eases. Take the time to slowly play this in, as your hands will be thankful too and you'll get to really appreciate the sound this recorder has to offer.
The tone is beautiful and really shines in the mid range, but I'll add that the lowest notes have a lovely richness to them.
It's a dream to play, to hold, to look at and you start to appreciate the craftmanship into these instruments. Will definitely be looking to purchase it's Alto sister in the future.
I'll also add that the fact this comes in a hard case with all accessories is a great addition. When you're getting into this price range for a recorder, I personally think a hard case is a must, and Moeck have done a great job.
