I loved it for the premium feel, rugged enclosure, sturdy knobs and great sounding pres. Definitely a thousand steps up from my focusrite Scarlett 18i8.
Ended up sending it back though.
This audio interface only runs on a firmware (Mac user here). This means that there is no software option to route your outs or create que mixes in alternative and creative ways. The 3-4 outs, for example, are clearly there JUST for a second monitor pair, since the stereo output 1-2 and 3-4 mutually exclude each other.
I thought I wanted an audio interface without software to future proof my studio, avoiding to have to forcefully upgrade to a new interface in a couple of years (happened to me several times already), but I quickly understood that this no-software approach was more limiting than freeing, at least in my use case.
Thanks to thomann I had the opportunity to spend some days with it and finally decided to send it back.
The sound was sick, though. Recommended if you just need a “standard” audio interface with no routing option, I guess?
