Ovation nylon is great

I just receive yesterday this Ovation guitar. So, i am pleased with the quality of the lutherie work. The sound is amazing when plucked to a fine acoustic amp as Yamaha TR 5 A+. The strings are a such a fine quality too, premium brand. Just one thing maybe is the machines' key which i work a little on them, something was not perfect, just details, i guess. So Ovation is great even for a low-price guitar as this Celebrity, i don't regret my command, i recommend Ovation for the quality of electronic devices too. Well thank you Thomann.

Celebrating the Celebrity

A well balanced sound and a lovely comfortable neck are the main features of this instrument. Not too bright and not too boomy it hits the Goldilocks zone for me. The body is rather bulky but without that the sound would suffer. My two gripes are that the tuner is rather hard to switch off and the machine head buttons still had some rag plastic from the moulind sprue which had to be filed off. A two minute job which should have been done at the factory. Other that that I find it very pleasant with no niggles that would lead me to chage it in the future. The pre-amp is decent with only a little hum. When recording acoustically and singing it does not drown out my voice but blends very well. It keeps its tuning and the intonation is spot on.

I am not a professional guitarist.I am playing many years electric , and acoustic guitars. I do love its weight and handling,,the neck is really nice, the frets feel kind on the fingers.

Really lovely guitar,,it seems to be getting better,,,The action is a little high ,I have organised with a music shop after lockdown some minor setup,,, My wife bought it for me for Christmas what a beautiful present..Thank you Santa

Preiswerte Nylon von Ovation

Leider war die erste CS-24C-4-G defekt (Spannungsriss am Kopf/Hals Übergang). Es hat etwas gedauert, die Gutschrift kam aber letztendlich an. Ich habe sie noch einmal bestellt. Die zweite Gitarre hat eine deutlich schlechtere Saitenlage und das Deckenholz eine sehr grobe Maserung. Der akustische Klang ist auch schlechter. Da scheint es aufgrund des Fertigungsprozesses große Unterschiede zu geben. Ich habe den Steg getauscht und die Saitenlage um ca. 1mm verändert. Die Mechaniken machen einen billigen Eindruck, ich werde sie bei Gelegenheit austauschen. Die Gitarre ist ok, ich werde mir aber das teurere Orginal noch einmal ansehen. Wenn es deutlich besser ist, werde ich über einen Kauf nachdenken.
