This mouthpiece has a nice warmish sound and I like to use it with a reed 2.5 One small inconvenience is that it is a little fatter than other mouthpieces I have and this has an impact on the ligature I can use. Using reeds of s fairly standard thickness, my favourite ligatures only just push on and I can hardly turn the tightening screw at all. With a thicker reed, I have to find an alternative ligature.
