I have a Taylor mini GS bass and thought I’d try flatwound strings on it. These were the only ones I could find so I bought them (it was pretty expensive as I also had to have them shipped to New Zealand). They arrived today and I put them on the guitar. The silk at the ball end is wrapped too far up the wire so on two of the strings it sits on the bridge and mutes them. The sound of the other strings is akin to a rubber band stretched over a shoe box, much quieter than the standard stings. Ended up breaking a string trying to fix the silk on bridge problem, but I was going to take them off anyway. These strings suck!

Flat Wound Strings for Taylor GS Mini Acoustic Bass
Pete in UK 24.04.2022
These are not available to purchase in the UK, so great that Thomann are stocking them. These strings from Pyramid are the only flat wound strings currently available for the 23.5" scale Taylor GS Mini Acoustic Bass.
They work fine, although not polished quite as smooth as some other flat wound strings. They greatly reduce finger noise compared to round wound strings, particularly on an acoustic bass with a piezo pickup.
They are also a perfect fit on a 23" scale Gold Tone Acoustic MicroBass, and being nylon core, there are no problems with intonation.
Highly recomended.
