One of the Best Choices for the Price

Needed some budget wind-protection for capturing sound for film and TV.

I have used it extensively since, and it proved more than reliable. I have not used it in any extreme environments, but so far it has handled everything (with the fur on when needed).

Very lightweight and practically transparent to the mic (w/o the fur).
As expected, adding the fur will cut some of the higher frequencies.

Initially it felt a bit plastic-y, but even after prolonged use it proved to be durable and reliable.

Outstanding quality at a great price

Arguably the best priced blimp in the entry/mid level - excellent Rycote wind shielding quality, superbly built and lightweight enough for those long takes! Rycote have made a compact and intelligently designed blimp that is better than competitors at only a marginally higher price. Features such as the quick release basket and low-profile connectors are excellent, and not common at this price point.
