In the beginning I had mixed feelings ( before my purchase ), if these fixtures would be worth the money. I kept in mind that similar 40cm 'vintage' bowls also could be bought for only 29 euro ! ( discount brand I will not mention ) + a rgbw led remote controlled E27 lamp only for 3 euro. So I have a rgbw light for 33 euro ( 7-8 pcs for the same price ! )
Okay No dmx, but for decorational purposes 100% ok.
So, back to this fixture: compared to Showtecs overpriced Blaze lamps, this +50% cheaper light does what it's build for: looks great in combination with the 30cm version on a light or microphone stand - behind the DJ booth or behind the performer on a podium.
The output is just right and it produces warm 'velvet' colours.
Many compliments on this setup - out of the box setup - compared to regular par leds or four bars, which gets boring. These have the same functions with an extra dimension².
Would I buy these again: Yes !
notes:
- 50cm is really big and cool - 30cm looks very small next to its big brother, but in combination at different heights, top !
- Transportation is an issue to keep in mind. I mounted treaded blind rivets on the ceiling beams of my van/transportation vehicle and I mount the lights downwards with an M8 starbutton/bolt on the bracket. Easy fixation, no damage during transport because they are hanging 'in air'
