I bought 2 of these subs to use with my EV ZX-1 speakers for small live band gigs in bars, restaurants etc. The 112 Sub with the ZX-1 is a nice combination, and much cheaper than the original ZX-1 Sub.
I run a bi-amped setup with a speaker processor and 2 EV CP-3000S amplifiers, which deliver more than enough power for these speakers.
The internal sub crossover is a 1st order filter, which I bypassed since (4th order) filtering is done in the processor which sounds much better.
The result is nice balanced sound, with a quite impressive low-end given the size of the subs. Kick drum is nice and punchy, bass guitar sounds balanced over the frequency range.
Subs are lightweight and the whole set fits easily in a normal station wagon. Don't forget to buy the covers; It is easy to scratch the paint.
The internal wiring is quite thin, I replaced it for thicker wire when bypassing the internal crossover.

I bought one of these to use with two CL110 tops for smaller venues but have found it to be quite suitable for even outdoor use.
I gig with it regularly at a bar on the beach in Punta Prima (Spain) and it punches out enough grunt for our regular crowd of between 150-200
Still not keen on the sprayed on finish which in my experience always chips way to easily.
I did purchase the fitted cover with it though, so it may keep it?s good looks for a while.

This 12" sub is great value for the money. I use it for DJing with 250w tops and it does the job nicely. Nice bass and very light in weight which is big plus.
