Bought a pair of these a couple of years ago as the main FOH PA speakers for a 17-piece big band playing a variety of venues from wedding marquees to small theatres and ballrooms.
Have been very pleased with how they've stood up physically to being bounced around in a van, and also with how they sound. We use them with either 2 or 4 single 18 subs, and this provides a very good balance. The Achat 115 can certainly keep up with the four (700W B&C) subs.
Vocal clarity is very good, and I just add a little system eq lift at 10kHz to counter the natural roll-off of the 1.4" HF horn and driver. Thankfully there is just input and output connectors and a level control - no mic/line switches or eq controls to get mis-set or tampered with. The plate amp at the back rarely gets more than slightly warm, never hot.
Construction wise, they're every bit a "Pro" box, with proper flying track and a kelping shackle at the back. We've never flown ours though.
In summary a very competent full-range speaker, that benefits from being partnered with a sub, but which can be used on it's own. The only criticism is that they're on the heavy side, but then is is a solid plywood box with a big horn a big bass driver and a big amp.
Very satisfied, and exceptional value. Nothing like it for this price.
