I bought this pedal for the filter. Not for its Fuzz.
The filter works and sounds very good, especially with an expression pedal. I'm not into envelope following filters, but it does that well too.
The Fuzz sounds like an angry duck. Especially when the envelope filter is engaged. At first I thought it to be useless for me.
But, when you roll back the volume on your guitar and play those high tones above the 12th fret, you get a very good octavio effect. In fact, it's better than the EQD Tentacle. And that was specially build for that effect.
It even sounds better if you stack it with an overdrive or distortion.
Also, it is very quiet. The noise it produces is minimal. Thanks to the gated fuzz.
With an octaver in front of it, its sputtery tone suddenly becomes massive and aggressively overwhelming.
All in all, with a very good sounding and usable filter and a fuzz that produces great octavio sounds and works well with other pedals, I'd say this is a great pedal if you use it right.

Walrus pedals are known for being somehow a bit out-of-the-box pedals, so you can expect something I bit off conventional.
The Filter side sounds great (really great), but to me it fells it could be a bit more explored on frequency range and it only hits its maximum firepower using expression pedal (what can be a inconvenient).
The Fuzz side can be explore taking in consideration it works more as a octave fuzz than a conventional, so the approach is different. I did not read it before (even checking descriptions and reviews). You can dig very interesting sounds with it but it is surely a complement here...
The both combined give you a lot of tones to build great sound... I really enjoy using it for "dirty" guitar solos or ambient/background guitar on more dark sounds.. brings you to wonderland but you need to be patient as it is not easy at first.
It is not a pedal for everyone as it has its own character, but if you have curiosity and patience you will surely find a lot of usable and different sounds on it, from 70's funky, passing through classic Hendrix, all the way to Zakk Wyld stuff...
