I really like the strings. Compared to Pirastro Tonica, these strings have a more warm tone.
The E string has a special spiral on the end which should reduce particular unwanted sounds. When you wind up the E string, the spiral will stretch out from the end to a part of the finger board. When you play the high notes, you won't notice the slightly curled string.
The other strings (G, D, and A) are also great. I tortured these strings a lot in the past months and the sound quality is still quite good.
I would definitely buy these strings again and advise these to other beginners and advanced players.

I'm a jazz violin player. I'm quite happy with the strings. Using them for 6 months already on my violin. The D starts losing it's tone, so i have to go for another set. They feel really close to my previous Wondertone strings, they are more to the mellow side which i'm really after. They produce a warm tone and a nice feel on the finger. Would recommend to anyone that want to experiment with new sounds on their violin. Give them a chance, happy buyer!

Having used Evah Pirazzis, Dominants, and some other strings on my 19C German violin, I did a little research for 'warm sounding' strings and discovered these and thought I would give them a try. The tonal quality is superb across all strings, particularly after my luthier adjusted the soundpost. I play folk music, and I love the sound these strings impart to my fiddle. I asked a classical violinist friend to take the violin 'for a test drive' and they told me the strings were an excellent match for the instrument and the timbre felt even across all strings (again, especially once the sound post was adjusted). I highly recommend giving these a try if you're hoping to warm up the sound of your fiddle!

Very nice set of strings. They are bright but not squeaky and have a strong resonance/sound.
Loved the E string which due to it's design gave a lovely 3 dimensional ton.
