I can't vouch for how accurate the sound is. It sounds cleaner than I expected.
The big disappointment is the interface which is absolutely dire. This isn't just because they are trying to mirror the original, it is because they have chosen buttons that are far too small and too closely spaced, they are too firm to press and there is almost zero tactile feedback. It is super super fiddly to use. Parameters are slow to change because it goes step by step (there are two accelerators but they are still too slow).
The whole panel needs buttons with space around them and a much more friendly feel to the buttons.
Then there is the display which tries to be authentic when it really shouldn't need to so you have cryptic parameter descriptions and menus which are unintuitive. This is 2024, you can emulate 7 segment displays and still have normal text when needed and designing elegant menu systems should be a stroll in the park - but not here.
To be blunt, this pedal is an ergonomic disaster (unless you have very tiny fingers, enjoy getting old while changing parameters and don't mind decoding the cryptic display and cryptic menu system and the cryptic button sequences).
So that leaves the sound which is OK but I haven't picked up any vintage digital vibe from it so far.
I never thought I would regret buying a Boss pedal but I have here. I would advise caution with this one.

This pedal is deep. Comes with 8 onboard presets, more with midi. Dual delay with adjustable eq, modulation, and much more. It is a deep pedal so a read of the manual is required.
But, it is rewarded with awesome sounding delays. Each delay can also have a L/R delay time, so you can technically have 4 delays going!! Series, parallel, and panning!
There’s so much more, but this is the best dual delay out there! Boss is the Boss!

It's not just a delay, it's a double delay which can be combined. You have a lot of settings and also possibilities to save your presets.
Yes, it is digital and if you're looking for a good delay with a lot of features - this is it. I am impressed how good it is. Complex yet simple.
Honestly I love that double delay pedal. It sounds great. You cab save presets. It's sturdy and even beautiful on a pedalboard somehow.
I thing I prefer that pedal to the Strymon Dig.
But it's really expensive (the dig is too !). I wouldn't have bought it without a good discount on it.
Also I would have liked controles like on the SDE-3. It's a bit tedious to edit the pedal. So maybe I'll buy the SDE3 instead. maybe
