I previously owned a Darkglass Alpha Omega and after 4 years of loving everything about it I chose to upgrade to the Ultra version.
The eq is smooth and as responsive as it should be, the Drive versatility is beyond everything else I've seen or tried. Sounds even more refined and improved from the regular version of the pedal. The growl and Bite switches are smooth and work perfectly as intended.
The cabsims give literaly endless posibilities and give an impressive final touch on the overall sound played with drive or clean. The option to have just the EQ without Drive makes it even more wonderful and versatile. The aux in and headphone out also make it perfect for practice etc.
It's lightweight compact and beautiful.

GREAT DISTORTION: You have the Alpha (more classic type of distortion) distortion AND the Omega (very aggressive type of distortion). You can blend the 2 for perfect results.
WISH LIST:
1) You cannot store favourite presets (it would have been great something like you press the footswitch for 3 seconds and you can save a preset).
2) Instead of growl and byte buttons I would have added the bass and treble knobs of the Harmonic booster.
CONS:
I think you need an extra pedal to really sculpt the tone of the Alpha Omega Ultra V2. This is why I also bought the Darkglass Harmonic Booster. Without it the sound is a little bit muffled, like covered with a blanket.

Features: Im Vergleich zum Vorgänger wurde hier endlich ein Kopfhörerausgang angebracht, was wirklich Vorteile bringt, weil man dann kein Interface zum stillen Üben benötigt.
Sound: Dieser ist DG- typisch klasse. Im Vergleich zum Vorgängermodell wurde das Rauschverhalten deutlich reduziert, was für mich eine ordentliche Qualitätssteigerung bedeutet. In Spielpausen bin ich nun nicht mehr der lauteste.
Die Verzerrung ist natürlich die größte Stärke des Pedals, welche sich stufenlos zwischen zwei Polen dosieren lässt. Das saubere Signal lässt sich nach Wunsch dazu mischen, wodurch der gewünschte Druck erhalten bleibt. Der Grafik- EQ greift wirkungsvoll ein und sowohl clean als auch verzerrt bekomme ich einen gut ortbaren Bandsound. Für die Zerrstufe kann man hohe und auch tiefe Frequenzen boosten. Das cleane Signal bleibt davon unbeeinflusst.
Bedienung: Hier gibt es den einzigen Minuspunkt. Die Einstellung der Boostschalter ist einfach nicht zu erkennen. Wenn ich die Schaltstellung herausfinden möchte, muss ich erst zweimal die entsprechenden Schalter drücken, um ihre Position zu ermitteln.
Alles in allem mit DI, Cabsim und den vielen Anschlussmöglichkeiten meine erste Wahl in allen musikalischen Situationen!

Cechy: W porównaniu do swojego poprzednika, w końcu dodano tu wyjście słuchawkowe, co jest prawdziwą zaletą, ponieważ nie potrzebujesz interfejsu do cichej praktyki. Dźwięk: To jest zazwyczaj świetne DG. W porównaniu z poprzednim modelem znacznie zmniejszono zachowanie hałasu, co dla mnie oznacza znaczny wzrost jakości. Nie jestem już najgłośniejszy podczas przerw w grze. Największą siłą pedału jest oczywiście zniekształcenie, które można regulować płynnie pomiędzy dwoma biegunami. Czysty sygnał można dowolnie mieszać, utrzymując w ten sposób pożądane ciśnienie. Korektor graficzny interweniuje skutecznie i otrzymuję dźwięk zespołu, który jest łatwy do zlokalizowania, zarówno czysty, jak i zniekształcony. Na etapie zniekształcenia można zwiększyć wysokie i niskie częstotliwości. Czysty sygnał pozostaje niezmieniony. Usługa: Jest tu jedyny minus. Ustawienie przełączników doładowania jest po prostu niewidoczne. Jeśli chcę poznać położenie przełącznika, muszę najpierw dwukrotnie nacisnąć odpowiednie przełączniki, aby określić ich położenie. Podsumowując, dzięki DI, Cabsim i wielu opcjom połączeń, jest to mój pierwszy wybór we wszystkich sytuacjach muzycznych!
