These strings sound wonderful, especially for their first month or two before the metallic zing goes away. After that they're still very good and preferable tone-wise to any other flat I've tried imho. I'm taking away 1 star in the quality category, because of the two sets I've had both had some scratchy spots in the winding and I had one string break at the peg during tuning, which has never happened to me on a bass string before. I also wish EB offered a few more gauges for the 5 string set, a 125-40 set of these would imho be the bomb. But even if they don't, I see myself using these flats exclusively for years to come.

Extremely well made strings. Perhaps the best flatwound I've ever used. I use these on all of my fretless basses. They're warm, they sound clear, and they are bright, all at the same time. I will always continue to use these strings.

Surprised by bright tone and clarity.

Thought I'd try out flats for the first time and was expecting them to be duller and less toneful than my usual round wounds, but was really pleasantly surprised by them.
They're quite expensive, being over £50 for a 5 set, but feel much smoother under to fingers and easier to play without string squeak.
Just ordered another set for my other axe.

Reçu depuis 10 jours et mise en place sur une Ibanez TMB35-MGR Talman Short Scale, le son est changé radicalement (la corde Si est beaucoup plus relevée, et le petit bruit métallique a pratiquement disparu) GENIAL
