The sound is good but I expected a bigger difference from what is installed in MiM Stratocaster.
I had to fix the electronics connection in the switch because it was not working properly. The quality of insulation on the electrical wires is poor.
The board fits the Player II perfectly.

Turned my HSS into a "classic" Strat

After twenty years of playing my American HSS Strat I wanted something a little more "classic" sounding, but without the cost of having to buy a new guitar -- that's exactly what I got!

INSTALLATION: as a prewired setup the installation was super easy and only needed a little soldering to connect the jack.

SOUND: very good classic Strat sound. Perhaps the only complaint is that these pickups are quite "hot". I combatted that by lowering the pickup height (quite a lot actually) but this now sounds great.

LOOKS: the original pickguard and pickups on my Strat are the same colour, these are not (you can see that in the photo). I suppose it doesn't really matter, and now after a few months I don't even notice it anymore.

Awesome sound!

I've been waiting a long time for these pickups to get restocked, and when they finally did I snatched a pair quickly.
The sound is just amazing, there's a huge difference between al three of the pickups and they all sound great!
Quality wise there is absolutely nothing to complain about, as with all higher end Fender products. I wish Gibson did things the way Fender does.

Blues rock/Hard rock heaven

I knew Texas Specials were legendary but man i did not expect what i heard!! No humming, unbelievable balance lows and mids and punchy highs! To me this is the definition of the pure rock sound of the 70s. I would recommend this set without a second thought. Excellent job Fender!
