This 56 is the best guitar I've ever played. Seriously.

The "Chunky C" neck profile fits me even more perfectly than the 59's Carmelita neck. And this 56 guitar really resonates. It actually tickles my stomach with vibrations. Nothing wrong with the other Gibsons I have, but this one just sings out more. Maybe it's the model; maybe the luck of the draw. Whatever the reason, it's wonderful.

Fret size is no issue here. P90s are as sweet and honky as can be. They do sound markedly different from the Custombuckers. Gibson and Thomann have blown my mind again. How do they keep doing it? This guitar is as succulent as a butterscotch candy.
