I purchased the case for Hofner 500/1 Cavern bass from the Contemporary series, hoping for a reliable protection for my instrument.
The case fits the bass snugly, which is undoubtedly its strong point. It perfectly accommodates the 500/1 model, giving me confidence that instrument is secure during travels. Unfortunately, I must note some shortcomings, especially in terms of craftsmanship. Firstly, the logo on the front of the case is unclear and appears hastily done, which is quite noticeable.
Regarding the zippers, I must agree with the opinion that they are of poor quality. Their construction leaves much to be desired, which may be a concern for those expecting durability in this aspect.
Nevertheless, it must be acknowledged that despite these imperfections, the case fulfills its primary function - providing adequate protection for the instrument during travel.
In summary, the Hofner 500/1 Contemporary bass case, despite some flaws in craftsmanship, effectively serves its purpose in ensuring the safe transport of the instrument but for that price... I think it's not worth it.

Przepiękny, lekki, rzeczowy futerał, jednak jedyny bardzo mały minus to trwałość poszycia. Już po pierwszym koncercie widać duże przerwania. Mimo to, no jednak po to jest - głównie po to by chronić w podróży. A to robi świetnie - miękki, ładnie pachnący środek!

This new case for the Hofner 500/1 and Cavern is by far much better that I was expecting. Really love the Hofner logo printed on the outside.
Excellent case latch's with one that locks as well as very nice lid hinges.
Super plush black padded interior, also with a covered foam block in the lid for the neck by the head and tailpiece end which really supports and holds the bass great from moving.
Very nice lower neck support w/small storage compartment.
Great looking Tweed covering along with a very nice leather handle w/supports.
Compared to the older style cases Hofner 's were shipped in makes them look cheap and junky by comparison.
This is the only case to store and transport your Hofner in !
And at an unreal great price for such quality.

Solid, practical and good looking. Handle is well positioned for comfortable carrying (but not normally a problem with a light violin bass). Hinges are of good quality.
No hesitation recommending it
