Using this with a 1073 pre and an optical compressor when tracking. It takes a bit of time to get the "feeling" on how and where it works best. Once you find the sweet spot for the vocalist you forget it is there until you turn it off and notice how transparent it is able to reduce the sibilance.

Ich produziere ausschließlich Sprachaufnahmen, und dafür ist die Methode, wie SPL den S-Lauten zu Leibe rückt, so einzigartig wie gut. Kaum hörbar, immer zuverlässig und effizient. Mit diesem Modul habe ich nun die Möglichkeit, zwischen zwei Frequenzbereichen zu wählen. Während die klassische Version im Bereich zwischen 6 und 7 kHz "entzischt", wirkt hier der obere Schalter in der 10 bis 11 kHz-Region und sorgt für ein gefälligeres Hörerlebnis, gerade bei längeren Sprachaufnahmen, ohne dass die Höhen plattgemacht werden. Für meine Bedürfnisse ein unverzichtbares Tool, das zusammen mit einem Preamp immer zum Einsatz kommt. Meine SPL-Plugins funktionieren zwar auch gut, aber mit Abstand nicht so gut wie die Hardware.
