Tama 14"x6,5" Super. Classic SD BAB

Changing the heads with better ones it's very good. Not sure how to classify "Sound" - out-of-the-box is not so good, but it can sound much better with other heads. Upgrading also the lugs and tension rods would be perfect, but, current price does not allow perfect quality control and those mentioned improvements, I think.
Shell Finish is excellent for this level and sounds "fuller" and more captivating, engaging, than some alternatives. If the idea is to use it as it is, out-of-the-box, in my opinion, at least the reso should be replaced, or both reso and batter, if possible. The shell, itself, seems to be very good.

Wer sein Snaredrumarsenal erweitern will, sollte hier zugreifen. Die Größe und das Ahorn erzeugen einen satten tiefen Klang. Dementsprechend ist die Snare aus der Superstar Classic Serie bestens für Rock, Metal, usw. geeignet. Neben dem guten Sound sieht das Finish (Lack, Hochglanz) auch noch richtig hochwertig aus. Ebenso wertig ist die Hardware (Spannreifen, Teppichspanner, etc.) und auch die Haptik im Allgemeinen. Die Felle sind OK. Das Schlagfell ist Coated, was beispielsweise das Spielen mit Besen ermöglicht/verbessert.

Die Felle und den Snareteppich habe ich dennoch gegen ein Aquarian Hi-Energy und ein Hi-Performance Resonant sowie Puresound CPS 1420 getauscht, um wirklich das Beste aus der Snare raus zu holen.

Eine klare Kaufempfehlung für all jene, die nicht ganz so tief in die Tasche greifen wollen! Ich hatte trotz des geringen Preises hohe Erwartungen an dieses Tama-Produkt und bin keinesfalls enttäuscht worden.

I bought this TAMA snare drum on April 22, 2022 for SEK 1,838. Having used it now since then, I can only say that it is absolutely amazing value for money. It is very beautiful, the detail work is excellent, the price is inexplicably low and above all it sounds very good. Easy to tune and sounds really good both with a slightly lower tuning and with a higher pitch. A real bargain - buy it, you won't regret it!
