Hello, drummers! Are you tired of trying sticks that feel too short in your hands, too heavy and even too thick, so that they don't allow you to express yourself fluently?
Well, you might just give this stick a try! The Vic Firth Steve Jordan SJOR Signature Stick is really one of a kind. With its diameter of 0.525" it is one of the thinnest sticks in the Vic Firth catalogue and on the market (if you have tried the Peter Erskine SPE, it shares the same diameter), and with its length of 16 1/2", it is also one of the longest (beaten in length in the VF Catalogue only by the ?uestlove signature). It features a medium taper, which gives the stick excellent balance and response despite its length, and a barrel tip, for a consistent tom and cymbal sound. The type of wood is of course hickory, as in the tradition of Vic Firth, and the sticks are electronically weight-matched and pitch-paired, which ensures even feel and response. Being oversized in hands and feet, I personally found this sticks to be the perfect companion for my physicality, using them in a wide range of genres, from jazz to rock. I would recommend this stick to any drummer who has hands bigger than the average, and wants to get the most rebound with the least effort out of his playing.

I love these sticks, they're long, relatively thin BUT surprisingly resilient. I couldn't get used to a 5A, but I find that the SJOR give me what I need along with comfort and durability. The only downfall is the price.
I'm used to playing VF 5B Extremes and I prefer the slightly longer reach of those sticks. For a recent project, I needed something with similar length, but for much lighter playing. The Steve Jordan signatures are absolutely fantastic sticks with great balance and reach due to the extra length, while being light enough for delicate and dynamic playing.
Bought a back-up pair for studio work, but didn't need it eventually. The one pair of sticks has held intact for several practice sessions as well as the recording session.
