Smooth and subtle or gnarly and weird

I ama guitarist and like non-traditional sounds so a ring mod is a no-brainer. I have a Particle so am familiar with the quality and flexibility of Red Panda devices and this is no different, tons of features but not too complex to use at first, allows you to get used to the main functions on the pedal itself but when you are ready the web editor really lets you dig deep.

The sound quality is awesome, no colouration unless you want it. Super flexible, form warm and subtle, musical tremelo and phase type sounds then off to another realm with the ring mod sounds which again have loads of tweakability to make tons of great sounds, not just angry robot noises - not that that is a bad thing either.

Add to that the full MIDI implementation and the expression/CV possibilities, a totally awesome pedal, well worth checking out!

Ein RedPanda gehört in jeden Musikhaushalt

Absolut empfehlenswert! Obwohl ich es zurückgeschickt habe. Das aber nur, weil ich schon ein anderes RedPanda, das „particle“, habe und ich merkte, dass es Überschneidungen gibt.
Das neue Radius hatte mich sehr interessiert und ich habe es 3 Tage intensiv probiert. Es kann sehr subtile Soundveränderungen, also Chorus-, Flanger-, Phase-ähnliche Sounds bis hin zu völlig abgedrehten, ungeahnten Klängen - oder man fettet einfach mal den Sound unergründlich an.
Es braucht m.E. lange Zeit, bis man ein Gefühl für die Einstellungsmöglichkeiten bekommt. Hilfreich ist da der zu Verfügung gestellte Webeditor (oder tw. gibt es auch TouchOSC-Layouts)), wo man (via Midi) alle Regler auch sehr fein einstellen kann und letztlich bis zu 100 Presets speichern und wieder abrufen kann.
Besonders, wenn man den eingebauten Step-Modulator in Kombination mit einem Expression-Pedal verwendet, könnte am Ende eine vergleichsweise bahnbrechende Sound-Konstruktion (wie es z.B. das Wah-Wah war/ist), herauskommen.

Also, wer noch kein RedPanda hat, das Radius gern kaufen und Zeit investieren, lohnt sich .. alle anderen, die schon ein RedPanda haben, eher damit weiterarbeiten. ;-)
